About 381 students will receive Certificates, Diplomas or Associate of Applied Science degrees - one of the largest graduating classes in WDT history. More about this story Arbor Day Foundation Honors Western Dakota Tech with Tree Campus Higher Education Recognition April 30, 2021 Western Dakota Tech (WDT) has been honored with Tree Campus Higher Education® recognition by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management. This first-time WDT achievement is the result of college planning and student project work in 2020 to earn the special Tree Campus designation. During this week’s American Technical Education Association’s (ATEA) 54th National Conference, a WDT faculty member has received an award, the college’s President has advanced as an officer of the organization, and two additional employees were selected as panelists. More about this story 'Planting the Pond' Project Benefiting East Middle School & Western Dakota Tech Students March 22, 2021 An innovative project called "Planting the Pond" by Western Dakota Tech (WDT) faculty members Kelsey Murray, Ph.D., and Bryan Mitchell, is teaching sustainability and conservation to East Middle School students in Rapid City and might even put them on the track to pursuing higher education and careers in related fields.
